About
I started working for Glen D'Arcy a long time ago. Glen was a big inspiration and taught me a whole lot of ins and outs of shaping. After ten years at the D'Arcy factory and approximately 1500 boards a year, I felt I could start my own brand here in Jeffreys Bay.
At school, they use to call me the Rebel. So that's where the name for my own brand came from...

PERSONAL STORY:
I was born in Jeffreys Bay, went to school in Humansdorp, travelled my fair bit and lived in many different places.
Most of my travels involved surfing and shaping.
In my career, I have shaped nearly 22000 surfboards. Earning reputation and honing shaping skills shaping for international labels like Town & Country, Brewer, Vudu and Blue Hawaii. I was once awarded the Quiksilver contract to shape Q-Stix surfboards for the local Quiksilver Boardriders Club Stores.
All surfboards are shaped by me and glassed and finished at "The Rebel Surfboard Factory" in Jeffreys Bay by local craftsmen.
We're still here in Jbay making true local Rebel surfboards for all types of surfers.
