About
The Continuum. Propagation of energy.
FIRE, the heat of the sun warms up the
AIR on our planet which then creates low and high pressure systems that provide the wind on the
WATER, hereby swells are produced on the oceans and seas,
that turn into waves, and then they hit the beaches and reefs of our
EARTH.
This energy can then be harvested with a Continuum Plank under your feet.
Is this, to follow the time spirit some kind of renewable energy thing, I don’t know.
But if you look at the broader perspective, we tap into energy that traveled quite a while to provide us with a shitload of fun. So we might (Should!) as well respect our planet, just because of the fun it delivers.
And the Plank, back in the days when surfing was (it still is?) the sport of kings in Hawai, they rode planks, en in my native Flemisch we call it “planke”.
Same surf, different day.
And on a more serious level, I just love to create surfboards and fins with my hands.
Searching for the right curves that fit into our crappy, but fun Belgian surf.
And somehow trying to do this in an ecological manner, building boards that last, using partly biological resins, using some flax, reshaping old longboards into brand new, even if I say myself, beautiful handcrafted surfboards. So if you have an old longboard laying around that’s gathering dust pm me, I’ll make you a classic twin, mini Simmons, Mini Bonzer Light Vehicle,...
Don’t worry if you don’t have an old board laying in the attic, I’ll get you a new blank.
See you in the water, or in my shaping shed.
