The customer was searching for something in-between a fun board and a performance shortboard. As my style of shaping revolves more around 'fun' boards, it was a good challenge to tweak the outline and bottom details to aid in the performance aspect of a twin fin. Adding the channel helps with the drive and stability when flying down the line. A lot more nose and tail rocker than usual, but still maintaining decent volume in the chest area for all the paddle power. I had to add in some classic details such a more older school rails (70/30) and a beak nose, keeping volume in the front area of the board.
